Vita, Babel, Cauliflower | Sarah B Kamsin

Regular price $18.00

Vita, Babel, Cauliflower is a collection of poems written between 2010 and 2020. It contrasts life in the urban landscape against the imagery of the garden to tell a story of transition from Black girlhood to womanhood in Americana. The collection includes the poems My Minneapolis about the 2020 Civil Unrest, Saba, Gia, Vita, Mother Earth speaking to the experience of being a dark skinned woman in America, and From The Remnants Of War, inspired by the fortitude of refugee mothers. These three poems make up the script for Vita, Babel, Cauliflower: Parts 1-3, a short film created as a visual companion to the written work.
